Meet the Author

 Hi everyone! It is so nice to meet you!

My name is Kylie, as you may have gathered. Haha.

I have been writing most of my life. I had several poems published, and in 2018 I had my 1st self-published book called The Orphic Kingdom Book 1 The Intro.

This book was written fast and with no intent to publish, at 1st anyways. It's rough. (I promise it means well.) But it's essential to book 2 which is intended to be complete sometime in the fall 2025. (Cross your fingers.) I have come a long way as an Author; I have spoken to many Author assistants (they have the best advice.) I study, and I learn daily. I put the work in. And I am grateful.

Ever since I was a small child I made up stories in my head. Just at random but never on purpose. 

My family told my mother, who confirmed with me later, that I should be a writer when I grew up.

These stories haunted me. And because of that I refused to write. I denied even to myself that I would ever put stories down on paper. But I unintentionally lied. 

Other than poetry, I hadn't written my actual 1st story until 2018. Once I accepted this feeling, this urge to write, the story flooded in. And The Orphic Kingdom was born.

When I tell you it floods in, I mean there is no shut off valve. I will wake up from a deep sleep, the shower, driving, cleaning, or just breathing, and yell "Where's my phone." I have to write it down or the story gets louder. I cannot explain this. I have just learned not to question it. Just write it down!

If you are thinking of writing, please just do. Just write it out on paper or type a way. It truly feels so good to get it out and see it in action. 

I will be sharing my journey. I will share my journey, my struggles, and all that I have learned along the way. 

I know my story is not for everyone. But I don't write for everyone. I write for ME. 

If someone happens to like it then heck yeah! That is AWESOME!
